1 Today is KD meal day at the church for anyone interested in getting free KD.

2 Jostens is offering Yearbook Training to (editors/photographers)/ area staffs this Friday, September 28th at Prince Andrew High (31 Woodlawn Rd, Dartmouth). They will be covering planning, design layout, and photography.  It will start at 10am and finish at 3pm. Students will need permission forms from the school. *Lunch will be provided.

3 The Army Reserves is hosting an Open House and Job Fair on Saturday September 29th from 9am to 3pm. This event allows high school students to explore well paid jobs that can be done part-time during their school year. See the school calendar for details.

4 It is spirit week cavs,  today  is multiplicity day (twin with as many people as you want), Thursday is Orange shirt day to raise awareness of  Indigenous children across Canada who were forced from their homes to attend residential schools. 

5 Friday no school.  PD Day.

6 Football home opener scheduled on Friday has been postponed to Monday at 7pm at ch turf .

7 Cole Harbour Public Library is looking for volunteers for their Early Readers’ Program. If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, and would enjoy working with Primary to Grade 6 students helping them with their reading skills, stop by Student Services for a contact name and phone number to register as a volunteer.

9  There will be a signup sheet outside of the bym for anyone interested in playing Co-ed basketball intramurals.  All are welcome?  Sign up deadline is Thursday, Sept. 27.


10 There will be a representative from Building Futures for Youth tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. in the cafetorium.  I would encourage all grades 10 & 11students that are interested in a skilled trade based career to attend.  This exciting opportunity allows students 200 hours of paid employment, 100 hours of safety training and 3 academic credits.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Dean Stevenson in Rm 314.
