1)There is a Prom Committee meeting today at lunch in the Media Room.

2) Any requests for course changes must be submitted to Student Services by tomorrow.

3) Any Grade 12 Students who are attending Dalhousie in September and are planning to apply for the Bissett scholarship, please note that the deadline for applications to be submitted to Student Services is tomorrow.  Bissett applications are available at Student Services.

4) The Cole Harbour YMCA will have a kiosk in the Cafetorium today-it is a great chance for all of you to see what this organization can offer you:  employability skills, resume support and lots more

5) Canadian Forces Base Halifax is hiring High School students for summer work terms in a variety of professional fields. To find out more information apply online to CFB Halifax Summer Job Opportunities on the FSWEP Website. Applications will close February 19. 6) Attention Grade 12 students - a representative from Acadia University will be in our Cafetorium this today at lunch to provide information to interested students. She will be doing on-the-spot admissions and waiving application fees at that time, so if you are thinking of applying to Acadia, have your transcript ready and apply during lunch!

7) Grade 12 students considering Holland College – please note that if you bring your completed application to Ms. McLean in Student Services on February 14th, she will email the application to Holland College and the application fee will be waived. You will also be entered in a draw for a chance to win a $500 tuition credit for September.

8) Do you love to read? Follow politics? Dream of becoming a writer? Perform in Plays? Wonder what university might be like? If so, Humanities for Young People is for you! This is a summer program that takes place every year at University of King’s College in early July for 15-17 year old students. It is a unique and exciting experience for anyone wanting a taste of university life with interests in literature, philosophy, history, politics and art. To find out more about this summer program, fees and dates, stop by Student Services.

9) Europe 2020 – The sign-up sheet for selling Gift Card Tree tickets at Canadian Tire is ready. Please see Mr. Myatt or Mr. Betancourt in room 303 and 304.

10) The HRM Dance-A-Thon is happening March 7th at Dartmouth High School. All HRCE schools will be participating to help raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Tickets are $20, this covers your entrance, your donation, and a t-shirt for the event.  To attend this event you must sign an agreement form/ Registration form from Dartmouth High, and also be approved by our school's admin; if you are not in good standings with admin and dance events, you will not be approved to go. If you are interested in attending this HRM dance please contact, your co-prezs, Julia Garlock, or Jason Giroux. Spots are limited

11) Hey Cavs, we have a lot of exciting events coming up. On February 12th we have 2 events happening. Acts for Aids is at 6:30pm at Citadel High School, where each school submits an act to perform. Tickets are $5 and Mr. Kaberlah will provide transportation if we get enough people going. Hannah Langille is performing this year so make sure to come and support!

Our second event going on is here at Cole Harbour High. Prom Committee has been working very hard to put together a fashion show with Karma Formal. Doors open at 6pm, and the show will be from 6:30-7:30pm. Baked goods will be sold at intermission. Come see the dresses Karma has to offer and if you end up buying from them, we get 10% of profit going to prom! Tickets are $5 and will be going on sale soon! Let’s make sure to show our Cavs pride at both of these great events!
