1) There is a Prom Committee meeting today at lunch in the Media Room.

2) Want some baked sweets for your sweetie? Come support the Green Team's bake sale today and tomorrow in the main foyer.  The deals will be as sweet as the goods.

3) There is a Girls Rugby practice today from 4 to 6pm in the gym. All girls who intend on playing are encouraged to attend. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Young in room 317.

4) Grade 12 students considering Holland College – please note that if you bring your completed application to Ms. McLean in Student Services tomorrow, she will email the application to Holland College and the application fee will be waived. You will also be entered in a draw for a chance to win a $500 tuition credit for September.

5) Grad Photo Retakes will take place February 21st. See our website for more details.

6) There will be a representative from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the cafetorium during lunch to let students know about the college and the training/career opportunities available in this health field.

7) A representative from Mount Allison University will be in the cafetorium during lunch on Friday. She will be able to offer on-the-spot admissions for any students still interested in applying, and will provide students with a promo code to waive their application fee. She will also have lots of information on Scholarship opportunities for those students who have already applied to Mt. A.

8) Canadian Forces Base Halifax is hiring High School students for summer work terms in a variety of professional fields.  To find out more information apply online to CFB Halifax Summer Job Opportunities on the FSWEP website.  Applications will close February 19th.  Successful applicants will be invited to a Student Selection Event in the first week of April.  Questions?  Contact michael.gargaro@forces.gc.ca

9) There will be a paint night to support our Prom on Feb. 27th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.  Fee is $40.  $20 will go towards our Prom.  A signup sheet will be in the office.

10) March 15th is the deadline for NSCC Entrance Awards – any students planning to attend NSCC in September can go to the NSCC website and apply online.

11) If you are a participant in Europe 2020, the sign up sheet for the next fundraiser is in.  Please see Mr. Betancourt or Mr. Myatt in Rooms 303 or 304 at lunch.  Please note that priority will be given to students who have not participated in any thicket sales events.

12) Come and support the Learning Centre by purchasing some treats and other gifts for yourself or friends at the store.  We have melted crayon hearts for Valentine’s Day and any other day of the year.  Only .75 for small hearts and $1.00 for bigger hearts.  We also have hoodies, toques and school supplies.  Let’s not forget our delicious popcorn!!
