1)  There will be a paint night to support our Prom on Feb. 27th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.  Fee is $40.  $20 will go towards our Prom.  A signup sheet will be in the office.

2) March 15th is the deadline for NSCC Entrance Awards – any students planning to attend NSCC in September can go to the NSCC website and apply online.

3) “Feel like being involved in your school community and enjoy planning events? SHINE, the Student Action Committee, is looking for new members. We team up with youth centers, such as Avalon and Macphee, to bring support and resources to our students and help to tackle problems specific to our school such as mental health,  spirit, etc.  If you are interested in being part of Shine, please come join us on Mondays at lunch in the main office”

4) Attention Grade 12 students who are planning to study Computer Science at Dalhousie in September: you are invited to attend Computer Science Preview Day on Saturday, March 16th, 2019! This full-day, free event for prospective students is a great opportunity for you to try out some classes and find out what life is like in the Faculty of Computer Science before September. Stop by Student Services to find out how to register for this event.

5) St. FX is hosting an information evening at the Halifax Central Library this evening starting at 7:30 pm

6) An admission representative from MSVU will be in our school cafetorium during lunch to meet with interested students. He will be offering to do on-the-spot admissions and waiving application fees at this time. So if you are considering applying to the Mount, have your transcript ready!

7) An Admissions Representative from St. Thomas University, Fredericton NB will be in the cafetorium during lunch to speak to interested students about all that STU has to offer.

8) A University of Ottawa representative will be in Halifax on Thursday evening – check the school calendar for details about time and location.

9) Mount Allison University is hosting an Open House on Friday, March 1st – check details on the school calendar to find out more about this event and how to get a gas voucher for your travel expenses.

10) The sign-up sheet for the gift card tree ticket sales fundraiser is still available in room 303 and 304.  Ticket sales will take place at the Alderney Landing Market this Saturday, February 23rd.  If you have not taken part in any fundraiser and would like to take part in this one, please see Mr. Betancourt or Mr. Myatt in rooms 303 and 304 to sign up.  Any spots left at the end of today will be open to any Europe 2020 participant who has or has not participated in a fundraiser.

11) Also, the cookie dough order sheets are due this Friday, February 22 either in room 303 or room304.  Money raised from cookie dough sales go directly into your account.  So please have them into Mr. Betancourt or Mr. Myatt’s room this Friday.
