1) There is a Prom Committee meeting today at lunch in the Media Room.

2) Attention all Grade 12 Students:  the 2018-19 graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 26th at 2:00 pm.  The ceremony will be in the school gymnasium.  Please see Ms. Stairs in Student Services to take advantage of the early bird special of $50.00 grad fee– CASH only.  Also, if you have not been sized for your grad gown, see Mr. Stevenson in Rm 314.

3) The IB Visual Arts show is today in the cafeteria.  Refreshments will be provided.

4) There will be a Junior Chess Open Tournament at Alderney Gate Public Library Saturday March 16th.  You can pre-register at the Alderney Gate Junior Library or by phone.  No entry fees.  Three levels of play and prizes and trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each level.  See poster in library for details.

5) HRM Community Recreation Services and Civic Events are currently recruiting many summer positions.  The deadline for receiving applications varies throughout March/April.  Details are on our website.  Please see Student Services for poster with detailed information.

6) There will be a girls rugby practice 4-6pm today in the gym. The girls rugby meeting at lunch has been cancelled.

7) Best Buddies will be having a fundraiser today at lunch and will be selling 2 pancakes for $2.00 and free smoothies!

8) MacPhee Centre For the Arts in Dartmouth is announcing their new programming for its Spring Term, which starts at MacPhee on March 25. Stop by Student Services to pick up your copy of the new programs being offered – there is a fantastic variety of exciting options. And remember all programs at MacPhee Centre are free.

9) The CAVS Needs store today and tomorrow will have toques reduced to just $14.00!  There are a limited number of size small and medium T-Shirts available for $5.00.  Free Smoothies will be available tomorrow at lunch by Room 204. 

10) Any student that did not receive and wishes to receive a permission form to participate in the Canadian Student Tobacco, Alcohol and Drug Survey and pick one up in the main office.  We have postponed deadline to after the March Break, at present we have a very low response, please get your forms asap.
