2) Do you love reading, Love Kids?  Want to give back to your community and develop leadership skills?  Cole Harbour Public Library is looking for 4 volunteers for Leading Readers on Wednesdays from Oct 9th to Dec. 4th from 4-5:15 pm.  Fill out an application (available from our website or at the Information Desk at the library) .

3) The annual Discovery Day in Health Sciences event hosted by Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine will take place on Wednesday November 13. Discovery Day is an exciting opportunity for students in grades 10 - 12 to explore careers in medicine and health sciences. The day will include a keynote lecture, interactive workshops and a career panel of experts from various disciplines. Students will gain a clearer picture of what it’s like to be a health professional by interacting with researchers, clinicians and educators in their real-life work setting. Space is limited and each high school can only send 6 students to this event, so if you are interested in this event, go to Student Services to sign up for registration paperwork by October 8th.
