1) Today we acknowledge 22 year old Amanda Gorman is a poet and activist. Her work surrounds feminism, race, issues of oppression and marginalization! The Harvard graduate has already published two books, been named the first National Youth Poet Laureate, and delivered her poem “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration ceremony for U.S President Joe Biden. The inaugural poem has since generated international acclaim and her two books have reached best-seller status, all before the age of 25!

2)  Interested in journalism? Want to improve your photography skills? Learn basic photojournalism skills from a University of Kings College instructor. King’s is hosting an online interactive photojournalism workshop for high school students on Sunday, February 7, from 4-5 p.m. Develop your photojournalism skills and learn how to craft a photo essay. 3) Choir at CHDHS is today afterschool in the music room from 2-3 p.m. All are welcome, no audition necessary!
