Good morning CAVS:

One week ago, the remains of 215 children were found on the grounds of the Kamloops Residential School in BC. This is a stark reminder of Canada's history of deadly treatment of our indigenous communities, and the inequality and hardship that still exists today. It is estimated that 6000 children lost their lives while attending residential schools. In memory of these children, in sympathy with the families affected, and in solidarity with our indigenous neighbours, we ask you to observe a moment of silence now. (pause -- 30-45 seconds?)
