• Attention all Grade 12s; Wednesday is your Grad Fun Day. It all begins with getting your free 2018 CHDHS grad t-shirt, so make sure you bring a sharpie to write your special messages on your friends' shirts. Next your teachers have prepared a delicious BBQ and a fabulous all you can eat sundae buffet. To burn off those calories, you can try the blow up games such the Hamster Ball soccer in the gym, or if board games are your thing, join Ms. Keddy in room 306. At 3:30 the amazing hypnotist, Ian Stewart, will have your friends doing hilarious performances in the cafetorium. Don't miss the action!

• All girl softball players must return their jerseys to Mr. Forsyth by Tuesday to be allowed to attend the athletic banquet.

• The HFX Summer Classic, Halifax's new major ball hockey tournament in support of Jumpstart for Kids, is hoping to raise 40k+ to help kids that want to play hockey inside HRM. They are looking for 30 future leaders to help with this event. This is a great opportunity for high school age students to earn volunteer hours, a good reference, and/or a foot in the door with our Sports and Event Management Company.  Event takes place June 16th & 17th, Bayer's Lake

Attention Grade 12 Students – Post Secondary Opportunities:

• Grade 12s:  Many of you have received scholarships and bursaries for university and college in the fall. In order for this good news to be printed in the graduation program, you will need to provide Student Services with a copy of the letter you received regarding any and all awards. You can scan and email it to your guidance counsellor or bring in your original letter and we will make a photocopy. Provide only information for awards you will be accepting.

• Any grade 12 students who are planning to attend university this fall may be interested in a 2 day workshop being offered at St. Mary’s University in August – which helps prepare high school students with writing skills, thesis development skills and critical thinking skills – everything you will need to use at university. The workshop is for students attending any university, not just SMU.  Check the wall outside of Student Services for information on how to register for this valuable opportunity to put your best foot forward at university in September!
