Cole Harbour District High School

November 20th, 2019

1) Attention Grade 12 students – a representative from Bishops University will be in the cafetorium today during lunch to speak to anyone interested in what Bishops has to offer.

2) The Shine Club and GSA will be hosting a bake sale and free tea in the cafetorium on Wednesday, Nov. 27th.  All baked goods are 50 cents.

3) Get your leg warmers and scrunchies out because Friday, Nov. 29th  is decade day!  Head to the yoga room at lunch and get footloose with a free 80’s themed sock-hop dance!

4) There will be a very important meeting in the Media Room on Friday, Nov. 22nd at lunch for the Europe 2020 participants to discuss passports and rooming arrangements.  It is important that all participants be present at this meeting.  If there is anyone who is unable to attend please see Mr. Betancourt or Mr. Myatt in rooms 303 or 304.

5) In girls basketball action last night, our lady CAVS lost a very close game 34-22 despite having only six players.  The CAVS out-rebounded the Sackville Kingfishers where they put us on the foul line 20 times during the game.  Unfortunately, we only made 2 of the 20 free throws.  Congratulations goes out to Amy Neish for being named player of the game with 10 rebounds. A reminder all the girls that there is a practice tomorrow after school.  We desperately need some more bodies.  We want to represent Cole Harbour High to the fullest.  Go CAVS Go!

6) Today is Transgender Rememberance day!  Transgender people have fought very hard for the rights of the LGBTQ community.

7) Student Council will be holding another bake sale today
