1. Throughout the month of October we recognize and celebrate Mi’kmaq History Month.

2. University lunchtime visits are happening this month:

Kings University- October 12
St. F.X. University- October 18th
St Thomas University is here at lunch on October 19th.
They will be here to answer any questions you may have for them regarding applying and attending their university.  They will be set up in the Cafetorium.  Please stop by and visit them.

3. Attention grade 12s.  The Loran Scholarship is still open for applications until October 11th.
The only award of its kind in Canada, the Loran Award (www.loranscholar.ca) is valued at more than $100,000 over four years of university undergraduate studies, including an annual stipend, matching tuition waivers, mentorship, funding for summer work experiences, and participation in an extensive network of past and present Loran Scholars. 4. Business is Jammin – they are coming to talk about Job Opportunities today for Black   To participate please have your consent form signed by parents or guardians and hand in to Mr. Simmonds. 

5. There will be a very important boys of volleyball meeting today at lunch and room 102.

6. This Friday it will be a boys volleyball practice at 2:00 p.m. inside the gym.
