1. Throughout the month of October we recognize and celebrate Mi’kmaq History Month.

2. University lunchtime visits are happening this month:
A representative from:
St. F.X. University- Wednesday,  October 18th
St Thomas University is here at lunch on Thursday, October 19th.
They will be here to answer any questions you may have for them regarding applying and attending their university.  They will be set up in the Cafetorium.  Please stop by and visit them.

3. Spooky Grams are on sale now until October 30th with delivery on Halloween!  Let’s keep scaring up good vibes Cavs!

4. Hey CAVS, we are having our first dance of the year next Thursday, October 19th from 6:30 to 9pm. Entrance is free costumes are encouraged.  No masks or weapons – see you there.  Snacks are available for purchase.

5. If you are interested in ordering your photos the due date has been changed to Oct. 23rd.   Picture retakes will be done on Thursday, Oct. 19th.

6. The Prom Committee will be having a bottle drive this Saturday, October 21st from 9a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school lower parking lot.  Drop offs are welcome.  Come out and support the prom and get rid of your recycling at the same time.

Hey Cavs!  This Wednesday, October 18th, SHINE will be hosting a BINGO Game.  Cards are one dollar each, and can be purchased on the day of the event.  We will also be selling them ahead of time on Monday and Tuesday.   There are prizes to be won and all proceeds will go to funding our
Thursday lunch program.

7. Equity Team

For students interested in being part our CHDHS Equity Team there will be a meeting next Tuesday, October 24 at lunch.

8. In sports action last night, our boys soccer team lost to Mosaic in the quarter finals..

Way to go boys.

9. And girl soccer action being short-handed. The girls took down Dartmouth high four to two leading the way was Samantha Williams with three goals

10. There will be a brief boys soccer meeting in 102 at lunch.

11. The following tryouts will be in our gym today.
Boys basketball at 4:00 p.m.
Girls basketball at 6:00 p.m.

12. Could all members of the Judo club see Mr. Kaye in Room 117 today at lunch.
