1. Throughout the month of October, we recognize and celebrate Mi’kmaq History Month. 

2. University lunchtime visits are happening this month:
A representative from:
St Thomas University is here at lunch on today.
They will be here to answer any questions you may have for them regarding applying and attending their university.  They will be set up in the Cafetorium.  Please stop by and visit them.

3. Spooky Grams are on sale now until October 30th with delivery on Halloween!  Let’s keep scaring up good vibes Cavs!

4. Hey CAVS, we are having our first dance tonight from 6:30 to 9pm. Entrance is free costumes are encouraged.  No masks or weapons – see you there.  Snacks are available for purchase.

Reminder to students attending tonight’s dance to bring their school ID cards.

Also, a reminder that there will be no guests allowed at the dance as it is a free event for our students only.

5. The Prom Committee will be having a bottle drive this Saturday, October 21st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school lower parking lot.  Drop offs are welcome.  Come out and support the prom and get rid of your recycling at the same time.

6. Equity Team

For students interested in being part our CHDHS Equity Team there will be a meeting next Tuesday, October 24 at lunch.

7. It will be a boys basketball practice today at 4:00 p.m.

8. In girls soccer action last night , the girls had a whopping win.

9. The Lady Cavs defeated Eastern Shore 15 to 1.

Leading the way was Samantha Williams with six goals, Havana Walker had three goals., Tomi Adeoye had 2, Paige Morgan had 2 can Gracie cook chipped in with one goal?

10. The girls play in regional playdown tonight at 4:00 Field to be announced.

11. Attention Grade 12 Students  - you can now vote for your prom theme on the Graduating Class of 2024’s Google Classroom.  The code to this google classroom is posted outside the guidance office in the hall.  Make sure to vote before next Thursday, October 26th.
