This weekend (May 2-4) was the annual High School Ringette Showdown! We have 4 students (Abby Trudel, Sophia Barnaby, Ava James and Callie Decoste) who are all representing CHDHS on a Combined team with Island View High School!  Games will all be held at the Greenfoot Energy Centre in Bedford.

Coffee House May 9 was a great success – thanks goes out to the Coffee House Committee and Ms Cusson for all their hard work.  Everyone had a great time and lots of fun.

Cole Harbour District High School welcomed Elder Geri Leblanc with open hearts and minds to speak her truth on Indigenous culture. Elder Geri shared knowledge on Indigenous history, teachings she lives by, ceremonies, and how Indigenous practices differ from religious practices.

We were grateful to receive a generous donation from Mr. John Stewart and the Westphal - Cole Harbour Fire Fighters Association . Their contribution of books to our school library is an invaluable gift that will enhance the learning opportunities available to our students.

Field trip to Asitu'lisk (That Which Gives You Balance)

Indigenous students at CHDH took a field trip to Asitu'lisk (That Which Gives You Balance) in January. Students visited the ancient Grandmother Maple over 500 years old, offering her tobacco ties to take their prayers and wishes.

Hope for Wildlife Donation by Green Team

The green team raised a $300 donation for Hope for Wildlife.  The members are Andrew Hutchins, Alayna Tuffs-Hines, Alisa Goodyear, Aviela (Oyibu Ekpekurede), Austin Munroe, Dimitri Kennedy, Gavin Arbuthnott, Margaretha Gillett, Scott Caissie, and  Kalie Bitonti.
