Good Evening Cole Harbour District High School Families,
Hard to believe we have approximately nine weeks before final exams. As we start to near the end of this school year we are still looking for parents or guardians who are interested in joining our CHDHS SAC. If interested send us an email.
Mid-term Reports
Mid-term reports will be sent home on Monday, April 28. Parent-teacher conferences will take place Tuesday, April 29 in the evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Wednesday April 30 in the afternoon from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. If you are not able to attend parent meetings and would like to touch base with your student’s teachers please email or call them.
Student Council
Congratulations to Kalie Bitonti and Hayden Tober on being elected as our new CHDHS Cavs Student Council Co-Presidents for the 2025-2026 school year. Also, a big thank you to outgoing Co-Presidents Denis Voloshin and Seth Burbridge for their dedication and hard work this year in leading our Cavs Student Council.
Grade 12
IB
Congratulations to the Grade 12 IB students as they wrap up their classes at CHDHS and reach this incredible milestone! After years of hard work, dedication, and resilience, you've made it to the final stretch. As you prepare to begin your exams on April 29, take a moment to reflect on how far you've come—through challenges, triumphs, and everything in between. This is the culmination of your academic journey, and no matter the outcome, you’ve already achieved something remarkable. Best of luck as you take on your IB exams with the confidence and determination that have defined your success so far! We’re all incredibly proud of you!
Grad Gowns
Graduating students are still able to purchase their grad gowns for $10 using our School Cash Online system or they can pay in person at the front office.
Grad Ceremony
This year’s graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 27 at 10am in our gym. In May we will start distributing tickets to graduating students. Each graduating student will get 4 tickets to start and once all grads have their tickets we will distribute more upon request.
Prom
Brayden Robinson and the prom committee have been working to create an event to celebrate the graduating class of 2025. Last weekend they held another successful bottle drive. We are now close to our goal of having a celebration that is free for the grads & their guests. Big thank you to Brayden and the committee for working hard to have an affordable event where all graduates can celebrate their accomplishments. Great Job Cavs!
Sports
Hockey Interest
We are exploring the possibility of bringing back hockey at CHDHS. If you have a student interested in possibly playing hockey please reach out to our Athletic Director, Mr Sparks via email: Jerome Sparks <jsparks@gnspes.ca>
Rugby
Our Cavs Boys’ rugby team played their first two official matches this week. The team played hard and learned much during the games. All players had a chance to play and enjoy the games. They will play again next week.
